This is a video I made in Tamworth on ANZAC Day. I Travelled there for the day to get some footage of my father William (Bill) Teychenne marching in the local march. Dad served in the Artillery in World War 2 as a radar operator/instructor in New Guinea. Dad was offerred the opportunity to travel in one of the Jeeps but declined as he felt he was able to walk OK. He wants to march as long as his health holds out but next year it might be with a walking stick. There are similar marches and ceremonies in every (and I mean EVERY) town in Australia on ANZAC Day This year was particularly significant as the last World War 1 "digger" had died. ANZAC Day is a source of continual amazement to most Australians as it continues to be supported in ever increasing numbers by military and non-military alike. Regardless of what you think about war, that all gets forgotten on this one day when everyone puts aside their personal philosophies to join each other to honour those service men and women who died in Australia's conflicts.

In the tent for day 2 things have been a bit tough today, there is a leech in the tent Jess didnt like the straight roads because they were boring. I liked that we had had a tough day and we were still dry. The noise you hear is the rain on the tent. We talk a bit about camping in general. I want to do more bushwalking. when I am out bush I dont feel like I should be someplace else. Talk a bit about Dads life. Growing up after his mum died and his responsibilities to the farm at the age of eight.
